Possible Solution for Successful TTNS

  • Published international TTNS sources show various electrode placements; however, the PTNS protocol specifies electrode locations.

  • We position the lower electrode at its PTNS location at the inside edge of the arch on the soft skin 0.5 inch forward of the tough heel skin.

  • We developed a placement template aligned with U.S. PTNS anatomical practice, centering the upper electrode at the needle entry site.

  • The template is intended to simplify electrode installation and improve placement consistency. A few early adopters have reported that it facilitates installation and consistent placement.

  • Template use is optional. Individuals may research and choose alternative electrode locations.
